About this Role
The key objective of the Defence Supply Chain Uplift Program Manager is to assist South Australian businesses in developing capabilities that will enable them to qualify for future defence industry supply chains. The focus is on building South Australian defence supply chain capability in readiness for major defence programs.
This will be achieved by developing and fostering close relationships with key international defence primes, South Australian businesses, and relevant state and commonwealth government agencies. The goal is to deliver programs of work that result in local suppliers being able to access future defence contracts.
Main Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing strategies to grow industrial capability in South Australian supply chains.
- Fostering close relationships with key stakeholders, including international defence primes and South Australian businesses.
- Delivering programs of work that result in local suppliers being able to access future defence contracts.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of state and commonwealth defence policies and strategies.
Key Competencies Required
- Significant experience working in the defence sector or in industrial supply chains.
- Strong understanding of state and commonwealth defence policies and strategies.
- Presentation skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to work under broad policy guidelines and manage multiple tasks and projects.
