We are seeking a Provisional/Transitional Fellow who will work under the supervision of Specialist Intensive Care Physicians, assisting to manage, diagnose and treat patients with severe medical, surgical, obstetric and pediatric illness. This may include the management of deteriorating and seriously ill patients outside the intensive care unit as well as the intra-hospital transport of critically ill patients.

The successful candidate will have completed at least two years in an accredited training position in an Australian Intensive Care or overseas equivalent. They will be expected to demonstrate competency in emergency situations with skills in advanced life support. Additionally, they must have a high level of communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team.

**Selection Criteria:**

  • MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Satisfactory completion of the required clinical training time and assessments for the core intensive care medicine, anaesthesia, and medicine years as per CICM training program
  • Satisfactory completion of all prescribed courses, learning packages and Workplace-Based Assessments (WBAs) as per CICM
  • Satisfactory exposure to two out of three sub-specialties: a) Cardiothoracic surgery intensive care, b) Neurological/Neurosurgery intensive care, c) Trauma intensive care

Key Selection Criteria include satisfactory completion of core training requirements, demonstration of appropriate skills and qualifications, and evidence of progression towards fellowship.
