Dispatch Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee our dispatch team and operations. As a Dispatch Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, managing workflow capacity, and supervising staff within the dispatch area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise all activities and team members within the dispatch department
  • Manage and plan workflow capacity and efficiency
  • AUTHORISE AND PLAN STAFF ROSTERS TO ENSURE ADEQUATE COVER FOR WORKLOAD
  • Prepare and pack orders ready for shipping, including packing boxes and materials
  • Generate Packing lists, Security Declarations, Commercial Invoices, and Dispatch Checklists
  • Coordinate and prepare Transfer Orders for product launches
  • Negotiate with freight companies to ensure efficient and cost-effective services
  • Liaise with freight companies to ensure all orders are collected on time
  • Update customer files with relevant documents, including parcel tracking details
  • With the help of the database, generate appropriate documentation for online sales
  • Prepare and produce consignments with local and international courier companies
  • Monitor and control all stock in the dispatch area and liaise with the Head of Procurement & Logistics to replenish stock
  • IDentify and suggest improvements on existing methods
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a fast-paced pick and pack environment
  • Leadership experience at a Manager or Supervisory level
  • Ability to meet daily goals and deadlines
  • Experience with industry-recognized business systems
  • Comfortable working independently and contributing to team activities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Professional approach to work, ability to organize themselves and their work area
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Flexible and proactive approach to work, ability to multitask
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Current Australian Driver's License
  • Reliable and strong work ethic
