Job Description

Role Summary

The Ministry of Health is seeking a visionary leader to fill the role of Executive Director, Intelligence and Support for Innovation, Transformation and Evaluation. This is a key position that will drive the development and implementation of strategies that advance patient-centered care and evidence-based practices across NSW Health.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Strategic Transformation
  • Develop and implement strategies that advance patient-centered care and evidence-based practices across NSW Health.
  • Transform the State's healthcare system through effective leadership and collaboration.
Drive Innovation and Evaluation
  • Lead the development and implementation of innovative solutions that improve healthcare delivery and outcomes.
  • Ensure evidence-based healthcare practices are integrated into healthcare delivery.
Lead a High-Performing Team
  • Drive collaboration and empowerment within a highly specialized team.
  • Develop and implement effective leadership and management strategies to achieve team goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in health systems research, clinical transformation, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in healthcare leadership roles with a focus on evidence-based practices, system transformation, and program evaluation.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare systems, regulations, quality improvement methodologies, and data analysis.
  • Demonstrated track record of academic publications in health services.
  • Exceptional leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Proficiency in change management and process improvement.
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care and program evaluation.
