Empowering Local Students Through Mentorship

We are seeking dedicated individuals to participate in our volunteer mentoring program, aimed at making a positive impact on the lives of local college students.

The College Now Mentoring Program offers a unique opportunity for volunteers to connect with scholarship recipients and provide guidance, support, and encouragement throughout their academic journey.

This program is specifically designed to empower first-generation college students who face financial and social barriers to higher education. By participating in this program, you will have the chance to build meaningful relationships with your mentees and make a lasting difference in their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage technology to communicate regularly with your assigned student(s) through the Chronus platform.
  • Schedule three or more in-person or virtual meetings with your student(s) per year.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for your students to share their experiences and concerns.

Requirements:

  • Hold a post-secondary degree (two- or four-year).
  • Pass a background check.
  • Have reliable access to the internet and proficiency in using technology.
