Community Outreach Coordinator

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in engaging with individuals occupying public space who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The Community Outreach Coordinator position requires an individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders. This involves working collaboratively with community organizations, service providers, and other key partners to ensure seamless delivery of support services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with people experiencing homelessness to provide guidance on available resources and pathways out of homelessness
  • Participating in daily foot patrols across the city, maintaining a clean and safe environment for all users
  • Working as part of a rotating roster, including early mornings, regular weekend shifts, and flexible availability

Key requirements for this role include:

  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly those experiencing homelessness
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment, with varying weather conditions
