Transport Operations Lead Role

This is a pivotal position that oversees the allocation and execution of trailer assets to maximize fleet efficiency and minimize downtime.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee trailer asset allocations to optimize fleet performance and reduce idle time
  • E nsure allocation and dispatch operations meet high service standards while implementing cost-saving initiatives
  • Deliver exceptional service level outcomes for stores as measured by key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Support timely and efficient execution of ad-hoc and special events store deliveries
  • Ensure operations comply with policies, procedures, and applicable laws
  • Collaborate with distribution centers and third-party logistics teams to maintain continuous operations and update stakeholders in real-time on any obstructions or non-compliance
  • Monitor Chain of Responsibility safety processes
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in supervising transport operations
  • Comprehensive understanding of transport operations, with allocator/fleet scheduler experience being an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work efficiently without direct supervision
  • People leadership experience
  • Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of Sydney and Central Coast area, suburbs, and road networks
  • Availability to work weekends
