Clinical Facilitator Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Facilitator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting nursing students in developing the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary for practice within the clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee student clinical practice and deliver education and assessment opportunities to ensure clinical placement requirements are met
  • Clearly communicate expectations of students while on clinical placement
  • Orientate students to the clinical placement facility (resources, workplace health and safety issues), conduct student debriefs, and gain feedback from students and facility staff
  • Liaise with healthcare facility/staff to provide opportunities for students to meet relevant clinical learning objectives
  • Communicate with Clinical Placement Coordinator to ensure effective and appropriate experiences for students
  • Assist students in developing communication, problem-solving, clinical, and professional skills
  • Respond positively to the immediate concerns and needs of students and healthcare facility/service coordinators
  • Promote the safety of patients/clients and students
  • Conduct pre-briefing and debriefing sessions with students

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' broad clinical experience in nursing
  • Detailed understanding of relevant professional and accreditation requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in nursing or related health discipline
  • Current Division 1 Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA with no conditions or notations
  • Advanced clinical nursing knowledge and skills
  • High-level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
