
Senior Financial Systems Specialist

You'll engage with internal clients to design practical solutions that enhance operations and contribute to both operational and strategic goals. This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise with passion for service excellence in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Your Responsibilities- Contribute to the design, development, and configuration of ERP functionality, modules and financial applications tailored to business requirements. This includes customising existing solutions, integrating with enterprise systems (HR, Student, IT, and third-party platforms) and ensuring seamless data flow to optimise performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Provide high-level support for ERP and financial systems, including software upgrades, user assistance, troubleshooting, and bug resolution. Conduct rigorous testing (functional, integration, and system-level) to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance across all platforms.
- Maintain robust data governance by enforcing relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines. Support the University's user access controls and audit requirements to uphold data integrity, security, and compliance across all ERP and financial systems.

Your Qualifications- Completion of a relevant degree with extensive experience in financial systems administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a financial systems environment;
- Demonstrated high-level expertise in enterprise financial systems and understanding of finance and payroll literacy and processes; experience with MS Office (advanced Excel) and accounting software;
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, XLOne, ETL, SQL, Power BI) and in Business Process Automation and AI tools; experience with change control processes;
- Experience managing system upgrades, testing, and change control processes.
- Relevant experience in the higher education sector.
- Knowledge and experience with TechnologyOne, the University's enterprise finance system.
