Risk Management Senior Manager

The Australian Red Cross is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager Risk to lead the second-line risk advisory function. This role will ensure the risk management framework is contemporary and fit-for-purpose to support the identification and management of strategic and operational risks.
The Senior Manager Risk will provide expert advice to senior leaders to support the consistent operationalisation of the risk management framework and effective identification, assessment, and management of risks, including opportunities. This role will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining an appropriate level of risk governance and oversight activities, including reporting to the Executive, Audit and Risk Committee, and the Board.
The ideal candidate will have experience gained in complex and dynamic operating environments, with an expert ability to analyse multiple datasets to identify trends and anomalies to support risk-based decision making. They will also possess highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, and consultation skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective communication and relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
The Senior Manager Risk will be pivotal in overseeing the maintenance of consistent stakeholder engagement across all risk functions and will be responsible for designing and enhancing risk insights reporting. They will thrive in a dynamic environment, relishing the opportunity to create impact and positively affect change in an organisation that makes a real difference.
