Job Opportunity

As a specialist in exercise physiology, you will play a vital role in enhancing the health and wellbeing of people in our community.

You will work closely with senior practitioners and develop skills necessary for long-term success in the healthcare industry with graduate specific support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level exercise physiotherapy services to customers presenting with a wide range of disability and functional needs
  • Deliver individual and group services, balancing direct treatment with supervised therapy to enhance the customer experience
  • Work across services and sites within WMQ dependent upon service requirements
  • Complete accurate assessment and review of physical needs of customers, and to provide a consultancy service for a range of activities to a wide range of customers
  • Provide instruction, supervision and education to customers, support workers and other carers as required
  • Identify opportunities to provide other cross-disciplinary services which may be of benefit to the customer
  • Ensure that the customer is an active participant in the development and review of treatment goals and planning
  • Ensure that positive and professional relationships and rapport are developed and maintained with customers

You will be primarily based at our Sinnamon Park or Chermside centres, with opportunities to work across other sites depending on client needs.

Requirements
  • Accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science-Australia (ESSA)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with staff, clients, and families
  • Exceptional communication skills and a focus on patient-centred care
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and policy)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel for work
