Mental Health and Wellbeing Specialist
Role OverviewThis is a unique opportunity to support our Work Health and Safety team in delivering a mental health and wellbeing strategy that promotes a safe and inclusive workplace.
You will work closely with our Mental Health Network to co-design, implement and monitor actions against our mental health and wellbeing strategy.
The role involves working on key projects related to psychosocial health and wellbeing, including identifying hazards, assessing risks and developing effective controls.
Additional responsibilities include implementing, monitoring and reporting on actions against our mental health and wellbeing strategy, delivering new health, safety and wellbeing initiatives and programs, and developing communication plans to raise awareness and embed understanding across the workforce of mental health.
Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders will be essential in this role, including developing strategies to build on our inclusive and safe workplace.
You will provide strategic WHS advice compliant with WHS legislation, frameworks and contemporary practices, and assist with WHS reporting, including incident management.
Key qualifications for this role include a degree in Work Health and Safety or a related field, effective communication skills with a client service focus, good judgement, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
