Senior Psychologist

A dynamic opportunity exists for a Senior Psychologist to provide high-level clinical psychological expertise in our inpatient unit.

The successful candidate will be part of a caring and supportive team, making a real difference to people living with the dual stigma of mental illness and offending.

About the Role:

This challenging role involves providing an advanced range of psychological services, including advice on patient management and treatment. The Senior Psychologist will undertake required responsibilities as a member of the multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and reports where necessary.
  • Deliver individual and/or group interventions as appropriate.
  • Contribute to patient risk management plans in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Make discipline-specific contributions to clinical practice and program development.
Requirements:
  • At least five years' experience as a psychologist.
  • Previous working experience in a mental health facility or forensic mental health service.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Extensive knowledge of current psychological approaches in working with mentally disordered clients.
  • Expertise in clinical forensic psychology, including forensic assessments and intervention.
