The role of Operations Manager is a multifaceted position that requires someone hands-on and flexible. It involves overseeing the daily operations, managing a team of 8 direct reports, and ensuring the safety of all workers, goods, and transport are compliant.

This is not an office job, but rather managing the operation and being part of it. You will be responsible for creating and implementing procedures for increased operational streamline and costing efficiencies, as well as improving overall customer satisfaction and customer experience.

As the second-in-command to the business owners, you will oversee the scheduling for 3 trucks and stock allocation to retail functions. You will also manage rosters and ensure that the team is working towards the same goal.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position. You should be an out-of-the-box thinker, commercially astute to support the growth of the business alongside the owners. Proven success in achieving streamlined and efficient processes and cost-saving results is essential.

You will need to possess excellent leadership skills, a down-to-earth management style, and excellent customer service skills. A problem solver who can find solutions and a passionate, hard-working, and positive attitude are also necessary. Previous experience in food, fresh produce, markets, or retail would be highly advantageous.
