Job Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance your capabilities and contribute to the growth of a leading organization. As a Senior and Principal Level Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive team working on diverse projects across various commodities and clients.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in tailings design studies, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality technical deliverables. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work efficiently autonomously and in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical direction for multi-disciplinary projects locally and internationally.
  2. Review work and technical deliverables and fulfill Engineer of Record roles.
  3. Interface with client leads and external subject matter experts to provide complex recommendations and conflict resolution as required.
  4. Lead complex risk assessments including Quantitative Risk Assessment.
  5. Develop solutions to meet client-based standards in addition to local and international guidelines.
  6. Mitigate and manage risk in the design process associated with cost estimation for feasibility and detailed projects.
  7. Mentor and guide junior engineers within the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering Qualifications in Civil or Mining Engineering.
  • Proven working experience on tailings/mine waste related projects locally or internationally, ideally in a consulting environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently autonomously and in a team environment, including on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management ability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
  • Drive to balance innovation, quality, and technical excellence with delivery to timelines and cost.
  • Understanding of local and international guidelines, best practice protocols, and client-based standards.
