Senior and Principal Tailings Engineers play a vital role in shaping the future of mining by delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. They provide technical direction, review work, and fulfill Engineer of Record roles, ensuring that client-based standards are met.

About This Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior and Principal Tailings Engineer to join our global team of experts working on diverse projects. As part of this team, you will collaborate with talented professionals to drive outcomes that benefit clients and communities worldwide.

The role involves leading tailings design studies, providing recommendations, and managing risk assessments. You will work closely with client leads and external subject matter experts to resolve conflicts and develop innovative solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical direction on multi-disciplinary projects, locally and internationally.
  • Review work and technical deliverables, fulfilling Engineer of Record roles.
  • Interface with client leads and external subject matter experts to provide complex recommendations and conflict resolution as required.
  • Lead complex risk assessments, including Quantitative Risk Assessment.
  • Mitigate and manage risk associated with cost estimation for feasibility and detailed projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers within the team.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong foundation in Civil or Mining Engineering, with proven experience in tailings/mine waste related projects. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as well as the ability to work efficiently autonomously and in a team environment.
