Job Title: Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at Busways. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, inspecting, reconditioning, repairing, and assembling our fleet of vehicles, ensuring safety, quality, and Busways standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with our fleet of vehicles
  • Maintain all company vehicles and assets in accordance with Manufacturer's guidelines
  • Ensure all maintenance work is performed according to company procedures
  • Attend breakdowns and carry out any field-related mechanical repairs
  • Effectively communicate any safety or maintenance issues
  • Adhere to all Work, Health & Safety requirements while performing work duties
Requirements:
  • Relevant trade qualifications (MVTC) essential
  • Experience in the service and maintenance of vehicles, with a focus on heavy vehicle diesel mechanics
  • Sound level of verbal and written communication
  • Experience in working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules
  • Proactive approach with a drive to finding better ways to continuously improve and be adaptable in a dynamic and growing team
What We Offer:
  • $3000 sign-on bonus
  • Attractive remuneration and benefits: $105,000 - $120,000 average annual earnings exclusive of superannuation
  • Ongoing training and development, including Heavy Vehicle Brake courses in-house presented by a registered TAFE teacher

  • Opportunity to upgrade from a car license to MR license, with the cost paid for by the company
