We are seeking a Transport & Stores Officer to join our dynamic team in Paget, Mackay. This is a permanent, full-time role where you will have the opportunity to drive our success.

The Role

As the Transport & Stores Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient inventory movement, security, and supply chain operations. You will oversee tasks including receipt, storage, dispatch, and stock management to meet workshop and site requirements.

Your Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory across warehouses and workshops, ensuring compliance with Bis processes.
  • Stocktakes and Security: Conduct stocktakes and ensure the physical security of inventory.
  • Material Handling: Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, to load/unload trucks.
  • Freight Coordination: Collaborate with freight providers to organise shipments.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a safe, clean, and organised warehouse environment.
  • Inventory Systems: Use JD Edwards or similar systems for inventory management and reporting.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record in warehouse operations, inventory control, and ERP systems like JDE, SAP, or Oracle.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Licenses: Forklift and driver's licenses are essential.
  • Skills: Strong organisational skills, the ability to work autonomously, and excellent communication capabilities.
  • Attributes: A proactive approach, attention to detail, and commitment to teamwork and safety.
