Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse Opportunity

Talent Focus is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive team, providing exceptional care to patients recovering from surgery.
Estimated Salary:$90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Description:We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the PACU. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective recovery of patients who have undergone surgical procedures.
As a PACU Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing and monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery
- Administering medications and treatments as required to manage post-operative pain and ensure patient comfort
- Monitoring vital signs and responding promptly to any changes in patient's condition
- Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized post-operative care plans
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records
- Adhering to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
