Project Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to lead our project teams and drive project success.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in developing and implementing comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
They will also have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams at all levels, across different cultures.
The Project Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
They will also be responsible for monitoring project performance metrics and taking proactive measures to address any deviations from established targets.
Additionally, the Project Director will conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks and ensure compliance with safety standards.
They will also manage stakeholder communications and foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
The Project Director will provide timely progress reports to Senior Management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended actions.
They will also champion a culture of continuous improvement, promoting innovation and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
Finally, the Project Director will ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, environmental standards, and corporate policies.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, with advanced degree preferred.
You will also need to have a proven track record within project management roles within the mining and mineral processing industry.
Strong technical background with expertise in project planning, execution, and delivery is essential.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams at all levels, across different cultures, are also required.
Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and software applications is necessary.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in multicultural environments, preferably within international settings, is desirable.
Familiarity with Namibian regulatory requirements and cultural dynamics is advantageous.
PMP or Prince2 certification is desirable.
