About the Role

The Project Director is responsible for the delivery of the New Women and Babies Hospital Project (NWBHP) procurement, commercial, legal and contract management aspects of this major project to the approved scope, budget, and timeframe in accordance with Government policy and to the highest standards of project governance and project management for the Osborne Park Hospital and Perth Children's Hospital sites.

The position will assist the Principal Project Director WNBHP with delivering a complex, high risk and high-profile project whilst providing specialist advice on complex commercial project management issues.

About You

You are a dynamic, self-aware, and resilient individual that achieves results and identifies opportunities for the Department to leverage.

You are a well-rounded leader and effective manager of project teams and work groups and are supporting team members to develop, implement and maintain the project schedule and all necessary systems and tools to enable project delivery.

You monitor and ensure compliance with government, agency and public sector policy and process.

You establish and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contribute towards an innovative, customer focused, high-performing and values-led organisational culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the New Women and Babies Hospital Project (NWBHP) procurement, commercial, legal and contract management aspects of this major project to the approved scope, budget, and timeframe.
  • Assist the Principal Project Director WNBHP with delivering a complex, high risk and high-profile project.
  • Provide specialist advice on complex commercial project management issues.
  • Lead a multi-functional team responsible for ensuring compliance with the contractual deliverables with regard to design and the procurement and installation of furniture, fittings, and equipment (FF&E).
  • Coordinate and manage a number of State Advisors in the areas of engineering, facility management, statutory planning, architectural, Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD), environmental, landscaping, traffic, telecommunications, information technology, digital services and Building Information Management (BIM).
