Procurement Excellence Manager

Our client, a leading provider in the logistics industry, is seeking a Procurement Excellence Manager to spearhead their transformation agenda. This newly created role will report directly to the Head of Procurement and be responsible for driving the S2P process across multiple functional areas, geographies, and business units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a best-in-class end-to-end source-to-pay strategy
  • Collaborate with senior managers to embed the source-to-pay strategy across the business, including progress updates and risk identification
  • Lead and develop one direct report
  • Conduct a review of existing contracts, suppliers, and procurement policies to establish a robust and sustainable procurement framework
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand pain points and embed the newly established procurement process
  • Strategic sourcing across key categories to ensure cost savings, cost avoidance, and security of supply
  • Develop strong relationships with local and new suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and identify alternate sources
  • Monitor industry trends and market developments to drive innovation and maintain competitiveness
  • Align procurement strategy with the wider business strategy and initiatives
  • Identify and proactively manage procurement risk, including developing risk mitigation plans
Essential Skills:
  • Expertise in leading source-to-pay processes in large enterprises
  • Strong experience with Ariba, Coupa, and Zycus
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, including influencing ELT-level stakeholders
  • Experience in procurement of software/ICT categories
  • Excellent analysis skills
  • Ideal experience gained in consulting environments
  • Tertiary qualification and/or MBA
