Electrical Project Engineer Role

This position is ideal for a highly skilled engineer with expertise in technical estimation, panel design, or applications engineering.

  • We are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to interpret customer specifications, drawings, and schematics to recommend compliant designs.
  • The successful candidate will prepare BOMs, costings, and sketches for custom or modified assemblies.
  • This role requires strong collaboration with Engineering and Operations teams to confirm build feasibility and delivery timelines.
  • You will contribute technical content and cost detail to formal tender submissions.
  • Additionally, you will track quote-to-actual cost variance and recommend improvements.
Skill Requirements:
  • A valid Electrician trade qualification or Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven hands-on experience in technical estimation, panel design, or applications engineering.
  • Confidence interpreting customer drawings, specs, and AS/NZS standards.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on margin preservation.
