Senior Accessibility Leader

At Canva, we believe that design should be accessible to everyone. Our goal is to create a product that empowers users with disabilities to create stunning designs.

This role is responsible for leading our accessibility team and shaping the roadmap for our product's accessibility features.

  • Leading a team of frontend engineers to build accessibility into our core experience.

  • Coaching and mentoring engineers to achieve both team impact and individual growth.

  • Partnering closely with accessibility subject matter experts and leads across Product Platform.

  • Shaping a roadmap of both Accessibility Features and foundational Continuous Accessibility tools.

  • Guiding delivery of inclusive, scalable systems that empower all users - regardless of ability.

  • Championing engineering quality, team happiness and inclusive, sustainable delivery practices.

  • Leading technical reviews, design docs and contributing code where it counts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers.
  • Coach and mentor engineers.
  • Shape a roadmap for accessibility.

Requirements:

  • Strong commercial experience managing frontend engineers and leading impactful teams.
  • Driven significant technical changes as both a leader and hands-on contributor.
  • Cross-functional collaboration.
  • Frontend engineering experience (JavaScript, TypeScript, React).
  • Passionate about inclusive design.
