This role plays a key leadership position in working with Aboriginal children, families, government, and sector partners to achieve better outcomes for children and build the capacity of families to keep their children safe or transition them home.
About The PositionThe Team Leader will report to the Senior Program Manager and lead complex casework involving trauma-affected children, utilising culturally safe and therapeutic approaches to support healing and building resilience.
About You- Demonstrate strong alignment with our organisation's values and purpose, leading and advocating internally and externally.
- Skilled in overseeing harm investigations, interviewing parties, managing protection orders, and supporting staff in court-related work.
- Lead and mentor staff in understanding child development, trauma, and attachment, especially for Aboriginal children.
- A recognised Social Work degree or equivalent, including primary focus on child development, human behaviour, family dynamics, and trauma impacts.
- Valid Police Check, Working with Children's Check, and Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination (Recommended).
