Developer Infrastructure Coordinator

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join our team as a Developer Infrastructure Coordination Engineer. As a key member of our infrastructure delivery team, you will play a critical role in delivering developer-funded civil infrastructure across the Northwest Growth Area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the implementation of Section 7.11 capital works, including annual and long-term plans. You will also prepare and review works-in-kind agreements, ensuring compliance and value for the community.
To succeed in this role, you will require strong knowledge of Section 7.11 Contribution Plans and applicable legislation. You should have experience negotiating developer agreements and preparing civil works estimates, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual who can work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external developers to facilitate delivery.
About the Role:
- Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the implementation of Section 7.11 capital works, including annual and long-term plans.
- Prepare and review works-in-kind agreements, ensuring compliance and value for the community.
- Monitor and report on the progress of the Works Improvement Program (WIP), contributing to strategic planning and financial forecasting.
- Lead site inspections and ensure quality and compliance of developer-delivered infrastructure.
- Contribute to Council's Asset Register and asset management planning based on new infrastructure delivery.
- Represent the engineering function on Council's S7.11 Finance Committee and support policy development related to contribution plans.
- Work collaboratively with both internal stakeholders and external developers to facilitate delivery.
- Essential:
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of Section 7.11 Contribution Plans and applicable legislation
- Experience negotiating developer agreements and preparing civil works estimates
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A current Class C driver's licence and White Card
- Local government experience or understanding of development assessment processes
- Knowledge of DCPs and land use planning frameworks
- GIS and project management skills
- Experience working in greenfield and urban infill environments
