About the Role

Our organization is seeking an experienced Sustainability Manager to join our national head office in Brisbane.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing sustainability and environmental initiatives, as well as providing advice on environmental governance and compliance.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies and action plans.
  • Advise on environmental regulatory compliance to ensure sustainability objectives are met nationally.
  • Manage collection, analysis, and reporting of sustainability data across our operations for reporting purposes.
  • Monitor and report on key sustainability performance objectives for managing project risk and supporting continuous improvement towards sustainability goals.
  • Build relationships with industry bodies and experts.
  • Embed environmental requirements into design and procurement processes.
  • Coordinate and manage external consultants.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or related field.
  • Specialist environmental experience within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local environmental statutes and legislation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to develop and implement initiatives aligned with company direction.
  • Able to travel interstate where required.
