Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced mental health professional to join our team as a Senior Clinician in Emergency Mental Health (EMH) and PACER. As a member of our dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality mental health assessment and intervention to consumers with acute mental health disorders or psychological distress.

About the Role

This is a multidisciplinary role open to Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Psychologists. You will work collaboratively with Emergency Department staff and the Mental Health Nurse Navigator to provide comprehensive care to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct mental health assessments and develop comprehensive care plans for patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide emergency mental health services.
  • Develop and implement new clinical practices and procedures to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum 5 years' experience in a variety of clinical mental health settings, including acute mental health.
  • High-level skills and knowledge in conducting mental health and risk assessments.
  • Community mental health experience highly regarded.
  • Strong leadership skills and evidence of contributing to a cohesive multidisciplinary team.
