Become a Visual Storyteller

At Dovetail, we're looking for an imaginative Brand Designer and Illustrator to help us elevate our brand across digital and physical touch points. As a key member of our brand marketing team, you'll be responsible for developing emotive and engaging illustrations that tell our brand story and align with our visual guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Execute on creative projects across multiple channels and touch points, including product, marketing, social media, campaigns, events, and more.
  2. Create cohesive and consistent designs using your deep knowledge of visual design principles and passion for design.
  3. Develop digital illustrations that enliven key messaging for customers across our platforms.
  4. Support the brand marketing team in producing work that tells our brand story and aligns with our brand marketing initiatives.
  5. Be an internal brand advocate, helping others in the business create materials that align with our brand.

Requirements:

  • Strong brand and visual design experience, preferably at an agency, design studio, or start-up/scale-up.
  • Illustrative prowess, with proven experience translating complex ideas and concepts into simple, compelling visuals.
  • Multidisciplinary skills, capable of bringing to life strategically driven creative work across various physical and digital platforms.
  • Confidence navigating brand guidelines, understanding when to follow the rules and when to break them.
  • Practical design tool skills, familiar with digital tools like Figma, Affinity, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Experience collaborating with others, influencing stakeholders and departments outside of your own.
  • Pragmatism, comfortable with ambiguity and shifting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey creative concepts and rationalize decisions.
