Job Title

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused professional to join our team. As a Small Business Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with business clients, understanding their financial needs, and providing holistic banking solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking sales-related requirements for a portfolio of small business customers
  • Building relationships with business partners to create and action new business opportunities
  • Actioning and managing Salesforce opportunities & national leads
  • Increasing our customers' 'Bank of Choice' footprint and undertaking retention-related activities for existing customers
  • Performing credit analysis and approving requests for temporary excesses/increased limit requirements
  • Providing coaching, lead actions, and role modeling great behaviors across the broader business
  • Managing lending and product requests for small business customers
  • Understanding customers' business needs to provide holistic banking solutions
  • Increasing the portion of 'Mybank' customers within the portfolio with the number of interactions and referrals
  • Being accountable for managing customer complaints and escalations until resolution is reached
  • Coaching and developing less experienced bankers within the team and developing associates
  • Driving customer portfolio risk and compliance
  • Establishing and maintaining working relationships with key stakeholders (Retail, NAB Partners, and other Business Partners)

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A genuine passion for customer service
  • Demonstrated experience in a lending role
  • Experience in managing customer relationships and the credit process
  • A strong financial/business acumen
  • Problem-solving, time management, critical thinking, and negotiation skills
