Youth Mental Health Specialist

This challenging and rewarding role within the mental health sector focuses on delivering high-quality care to young people aged 12-25 who require specialized occupational therapy services. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care plans that cater to the unique needs of each client.
Main Responsibilities:- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to youth in need
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that promote quality improvement and person-centered care
- Provide clinical supervision to junior staff and students, ensuring they receive the support and guidance required to excel in their roles
- Foster strong relationships with families, carers, and community services to ensure seamless care coordination
- Promote recovery-based programs and services, and contribute to ongoing education and professional development initiatives
- Demonstrated experience in mental health settings, particularly in working with children and adolescents
- Strong understanding of occupational therapy assessment tools and evidence-based practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to coordinate student placements and provide educational programs
- Commitment to ongoing education, professional development, and quality improvement initiatives
