
Aboriginal Health Services Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and culturally aware Aboriginal Health Practitioner or Registered Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, comprehensive primary healthcare services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people living in the Greater Darwin Area.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering culturally safe and effective healthcare services to disadvantaged communities.

Key Responsibilities- Deliver primary healthcare services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients with compassion and cultural sensitivity.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and treatment outcomes.
- Bachelor of Nursing and/or Certificate IV in Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice).
- Current registration as an AHP/ Nurse with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated understanding and/or experience in providing Primary Health Care, utilising standard treatment manuals.
- Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and history.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate sensitively in a cross-cultural environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to plan, manage and prioritise tasks.
- 6 weeks annual leave
- 5 days paid leave during end-of-year shut down (additional to annual leave)

- Ability and willingness to obtain a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).
- Current CPR certificate or the preparedness to gain one within 6 months of commencement.
