Claims Service Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a Claims Service professional to handle claims and provide exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and qualifications necessary to excel in this role.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Follow industry best practices and company standards to minimize claim costs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation affecting claims management and apply sound decision-making throughout the claim's lifecycle.
  • Manage expectations and relationships with stakeholders, including claimants, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships within the team and broader organization.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and provide timely responses to customer needs.
  • Handle high volumes of inbound and outbound calls in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in motor claims handling in a call-centre environment.
  • Claims management experience across various commercial motor product lines in complex organizations.
  • Tertiary or industry-specific qualifications.
  • Ability to multitask, navigate multiple systems, and work efficiently.
  • Experience working with insurance brokers.
  • Technical capability and competence standards for professional progression.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in planning, prioritizing, organizing tasks, and managing resources effectively.
