About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Design Manager to assist the Pre-Construction Manager in the coordinated and successful management of design processes on tender projects, ensuring work-winning targets are achieved. The successful candidate will support project teams with the management of design processes, ensuring all undertakings are executed in accordance with The ADCO Way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile, manage, and distribute relevant design information accurately and efficiently.
  • Identify and clarify inaccuracies and ambiguities, and proactively resolve coordination issues.
  • Assess and communicate risks in design, consulting with expertise where necessary.
  • Identify and deliver opportunities in design and value engineering.
  • Review and contribute to project delivery documents and plans.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to manage design packages and approvals in line with project plans.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a Design Manager role, with a strong background in construction.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Proficiency in design software and tools.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with an eye for design aesthetics and quality.
  • Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
