Job Title: Senior Design Manager

As a Senior Design Manager, you will play a key role in the front-end stage of projects, working closely with clients and consultants to develop design briefs and manage the design process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Value engineering and project management of the whole design process
  • Managing relationships with consultants and architects
  • Coordinating design activities to ensure quality, completion, and design budget objectives
  • Managing milestone design reviews and client sign-off
  • Liaising with clients to develop design briefs in accordance with cost plans
  • Managing design in accordance with cost plans and construction programs

Requirements:

  • Construction Management Degree or a Degree in Architecture
  • 5-8 years of experience as a Design Manager with a Principal Contractor
  • Experience working on projects in Residential and Commercial sectors
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Computer literacy and experience with reporting systems
  • Sound leadership skills and solid problem-solving abilities
  • An energetic and dynamic approach to construction
  • Sound knowledge of OH&S and IR matters
