Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and charismatic Guest Service Representative to join our team at Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns.
About the Role
As a Guest Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality service to guests, responding to their needs and requests in a prompt and professional manner.
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and helpful manner.
- Provide information about the hotel and its amenities, as well as local attractions and events.
- Assist guests with their luggage and provide concierge services, such as booking transportation and making restaurant reservations.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of guest transactions.
- Ensure the lobby and other public areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Coordinate with other hotel staff to ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly.

Requirements
- Proven experience in a Front Office Role
- Experience with OPERA PMS is essential
- High standard of personal presentation and a true understanding of unparalleled customer service
- Valid working rights in Australia
- Ability to greet guests and check them in and out of the hotel
- Ability to answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries
- Ability to provide information about the hotel and its amenities, as well as local attractions and events
- Ability to assist guests with their luggage and provide concierge services
- Ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Ability to process payments and maintain accurate records of guest transactions
- Dedication to ensure the lobby and other public areas are clean and well-maintained
- Ability to coordinate with other hotel staff to ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly
