Project Overview

A seasoned and accomplished Project Manager is sought to oversee the execution of multi-family construction projects across the Southeastern United States.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of multi-family construction, with expertise in managing all aspects of projects ranging from $15M to $50M.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of multi-family projects. Manage day-to-day activities on-site and coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.
  • Historic Renovation Focus: Lead the renovation of historic properties, ensuring compliance with preservation standards, local regulations, and project timelines.
  • Cost Management: Manage project budgets effectively, including buyout, subcontractor negotiation, change orders, Pay Application process, and vendor management.
  • Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks. Coordinate and manage the work of subcontractors and vendors to meet deadlines.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the development team to provide insight and support for all phases of the project, from pre-construction planning through to final delivery.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all work is completed to high standards and adheres to all relevant codes and regulations.
  • Safety Management: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a strong focus on safety on the construction site.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in multi-family construction management, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects in the $15M-$50M range.
  • Strong proficiency in construction management software and tools. Detailed knowledge of project scheduling, cost control, and project management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the project buyout process, including negotiating contracts, managing budgets, and tracking project costs.
  • In-depth understanding of detailed project scheduling and the ability to manage competing timelines, resource allocation, and project milestones effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites across the Southeastern U.S. as needed.
  • Experience working with historic renovations or adaptive reuse projects.
  • Strong relationships with regional subcontractors and vendors.
