Job Title

The role of a Housing Officer is pivotal to the regional office team responsible for tenancy management of public housing rental properties.

This position provides customers with vital information, referral services, advocacy, and tenancy management services, catering to the diverse needs of customers, including Aboriginal individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Completion of National Police Clearance prior to employment.
  • Clearance from DHS Screening Unit Working with Children Check prior to employment and every 5 years.
  • Maintenance of an active Australian issued Driver's Licence.
  • Some out-of-hours work may be required upon activation of the Emergency Relief Functional Support Group.
  • Assignment to a specific region within SA or possible movement to any other region depending on organisational needs.
  • Notification of child abuse under relevant legislation.
Requirements

Desirable qualifications include Social Housing Management Diploma; Social Science or Human Service Qualification.
