About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aboriginal Palliative Care Coordinator to join our team. This role will play a vital part in providing respectful and culturally appropriate end-of-life care for Aboriginal people within our healthcare system.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with clinicians, community-based service providers, and patient families at the primary health care level. They will act as a conduit for Aboriginal patients with palliative care needs, ensuring culturally competent and safe practices are integrated into care coordination.

This is an identified position for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants, and we encourage those who meet the eligibility criteria to apply.

Ideal Candidate
  • This role requires a deep understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal people related to grief, loss, social, and emotional wellbeing.
  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead the development of culturally safe environments for Aboriginal patients and their families within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable) is also required.
