About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive P&C Business Partner to join our dedicated People & Culture team, providing frontline HR support across our dynamic business.

As the HR Business Partner, you'll be based in Coburg North, working closely with the Head of HR to deliver hands-on HR support across the business of 170.

This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a small but dynamic HR team, providing critical support as we continue to innovate and expand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, providing expert advice and support to managers and employees.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience for all staff.
  • Maintain our HRIS, Employment Hero, supporting employee changes and award interpretation.
  • Provide coaching to managers on performance reviews, helping them navigate and utilise our custom-built system.
  • Support learning and development initiatives, including the facilitation of 'Lunch and Learn' sessions.
  • Gain exposure to industrial relations, learning from our experienced HR leader with a legal background.
  • Play a key role in maintaining and improving employee engagement through pulse surveys and other HR initiatives.
  • Be involved in recruitment activities for primarily blue collar roles, from screening to interviewing, in collaboration with team leaders and supervisors across various departments.
  • Work alongside the Head of HR to navigate ER cases across the business.
About You:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as an HR Advisor/Senior HR Advisor.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, with exposure to industrial relations and award interpretation.
  • Experience with Employment Hero or similar HRIS is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with a can-do attitude and the confidence to step into a hands-on role.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and navigate new systems.
  • Ability to work on-site in Coburg North five days a week, with the potential for a more flexible arrangement after settling into the role.
