Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our cross-functional teams in a dynamic project environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of initiatives to achieve strategic business objectives, as well as designing and developing plans to shape, prioritise and resource projects/programmes.

The ideal candidate will have significant project and programme management experience, with evidence of balancing a customer and a commercial focus. They will also possess strong aviation project background, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and proven leadership in a matrix environment.

This is a high-visibility role that requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success of projects, programs and change initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the continuous review and improvement of project management policies, systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement initiatives to achieve strategic business objectives;
  • Design and develop plans to shape, prioritise and resource projects/programmes;
  • Track and report on progress against objectives of projects/programs;
  • Set policies for third party engagements and measure their effectiveness;
  • Act as authority across all issue escalation channels for relevant stakeholders;
  • Oversee the continuous review and improvement of project management policies, systems and processes;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 10 years' aviation project experience;
  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant professional qualification;
  • Significant project and programme management experience with evidence of balancing a customer and a commercial focus;
  • Proven cost management, political and planning skills;
  • Strong aviation project background with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • Proven leadership in a matrix environment and ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships;
  • Experience developing and delivering Lean/Agile change management strategic plans;
  • Strong commercial and organisational awareness, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to facilitate steering groups and cross-functional teams;
