Air Travel Coordinator Role:

As an Air Travel Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of our air travel services. This includes securing flights, calculating prices, maintaining reservations, and issuing airline tickets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Secure, price, and maintain air reservations for all guests, ensuring timely booking within budget constraints.
  • Proofread all air reservations created by our booking engine and staff members to ensure high-quality standards are met.
  • Action airline schedule changes promptly, re-protecting passengers when necessary, and resolving issues through research and effective communication.
  • Handle air emergencies, alter schedules, or resolve flight disruptions while on tour.
  • Liaise with the Corporate Travel team on employee business travel needs.
  • Coordinate the issuance of airline tickets across all offices.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Certificate in Travel and Tourism or equivalent preferred. Minimum 2 years' experience in the travel industry, with knowledge of selling and airline operations.
  • Familiarity with air operations, including creating and modifying air reservations, ticketing, and exchanges, quality control procedures, and reporting documentation requirements.
  • Knowledge of airline computer systems, preferably Sabre, Amadeus, and/or Galileo.
  • Microsoft Office program experience.
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse constituencies.
  • Ability to plan and organize to optimize productivity.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
