Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the development of rail projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operating plans for freight and passenger rail projects
  • Create and deliver strategic planning documents, reports, and presentations on rail operations
  • Provide expertise and mentorship to project team members, analyze outputs and optimize results
  • Maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, including freight and public agency officials
  • Participate in industry events and associations to stay up-to-date on best practices
  • Lead proposal development efforts and ensure quality, scope, schedule, and budget adherence

Candidates should have extensive experience in freight rail planning, understand traffic patterns, operating practices, regulations, and industry needs. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., transportation, engineering)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, with 5+ years of project management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
