About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our team at Toorak College. As a key member of our Community and Development team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality marketing and communications initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Director of Community and Development in all marketing and communications-related work.
  • Implement the School's marketing plan, including advertising, digital media activity, communications, community engagement, and stakeholder management.
  • Develop and distribute internal communications to ensure a positive and informed school community.
  • Facilitate a two-way relationship with school community groups, including the Parents and Friends Association and Class Convenors, to distribute communications and source support for school initiatives and events.
  • Monitor and improve the School's website performance, including SEO, to ensure a strong online presence.
  • Manage and maintain the School's website, including content updates and technical maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain the School's photographic database and manage all photographic and video shoots.
  • Manage the School's CRM system, including lead nurturing and philanthropic digital communications.
  • Execute pre-planned media activity to promote the School's brand and initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage the School's social media platforms to ensure a strong online presence.
  • Provide regular reporting on digital activity, including social media and Google Analytics results.
  • Write engaging content, including blogs, editorials, and press releases, to promote the School's brand and initiatives.
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in communications, digital marketing, marketing, or related industries.
  • A genuine interest and passion in marketing and communications.
  • Capacity to build high-quality relationships with key stakeholders, including Collegians, Parents and Friends, Teachers, and Suppliers.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in using advanced functions of Microsoft Office Suite, web content management, social media, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and workload to multitask and achieve goals in a deadline-driven environment, while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A current Employee Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
