Job Title: Cyber Security Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Cyber Security Lead to join our team.

A leading organisation is looking for an individual who can lead advanced cyber defence and incident response initiatives across enterprise environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing teams, mentoring junior staff, and fostering a collaborative culture.

Maintaining security systems, networks, and monitoring logs to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies are key responsibilities of this role.

This position requires a deep understanding of security frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST, CIS, and ASD ISM.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive security strategies.
  • Mentor and guide a team of cyber analysts to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to identify potential security risks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance cyber resilience.
  • Evaluate and implement new security tools, technologies, and processes.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience in cyber security or IT.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or ITIL Practitioner.
  • Strong experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk preferred), SPL, and threat hunting.
  • Deep understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, threat modelling, and operational threat intelligence.
  • Proven ability to lead incident response and vulnerability management programs.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and consulting skills.
  • Experience with security frameworks including ISO27001/27002, NIST, CIS.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving threats and technologies.
