Lendlease is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Planner to join our NSW Cost Planning team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving our construction strategy and contributing to the production of conceptual and detailed cost plans, estimates, and value engineering on major projects throughout Australia.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills, including measurement and preparation of Bills of Quantities in line with industry and Quantity Surveying standards. You will also need to have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement cost plans and estimates for large-scale construction projects
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and accurate cost reporting
- Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs
- Manage and control project costs during the concept design, design development phase, and construction phases
- Prepare and present cost reports to stakeholders
- 10+ years' experience in the Building and Construction industry, with experience creating cost plans and estimates for large-scale construction projects
- Relevant University qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent
- Sound technical skills in measurement and preparation of Bills of Quantities in line with industry and Quantity Surveying standards
- Strong local industry networks, knowledge of the NSW subcontractor market, and willingness to engage with subcontractors and suppliers when working on tenders and projects
- Experience driving high-quality outcomes, ensuring timelines are met, and managing multiple stakeholders with competing demands
- Strong written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills
- Proficiency in CostX and Microsoft Excel
