Position Overview
This critical role is pivotal to Western Australia's decarbonisation targets, driving the transformation towards a sustainable energy future.
The Clean Energy Program aims to expand the transmission network, connecting new renewable generation, storage facilities, and large-scale customers to the Southwest Interconnected System.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for transmission expansion, ensuring alignment with State and Federal energy goals.
- Lead the orchestration of complex, large-scale transmission projects that will power WA for decades.
- Secure funding and engage with government, regulators, and industry stakeholders to drive project outcomes.
- Oversee portfolio optimisation and assurance, ensuring timely delivery, compliance, and long-term economic and environmental benefits.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strategic capability to navigate complexity, shape policy, and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of decarbonisation drivers, electricity markets, and infrastructure delivery.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
