Job Overview

The Laboratory Assistant role is an integral part of our laboratory operations. This position supports the Laboratory Coordinator, ensuring they can focus on core tasks while handling more administrative duties.

  • Collaborate with Laboratory Coordinators and Academic staff to maintain teaching material stock levels
  • Class setup for simulations and assessments
  • Print learning materials as required
  • Clean, refill, relabel, and restock equipment/consumables
  • Recycle suitable equipment
  • Maintain laboratory spaces cleanliness and organization
  • Perform other tasks determined on a case-by-case basis
About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of a Higher Education Diploma or enrollment in same
  • Good attention to detail
  • Effective time-management skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
