Salary:

The estimated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Digital Creature Specialist to join our VFX team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for creating realistic and engaging digital creatures for high-end film projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality digital creature models, textures, and animations using industry-standard software like Maya.
  • Work closely with the Creature FX simulation team to develop dynamic simulations and guide hairs.
  • Liaise with other departments, including Modelling, Rigging, Animation, and Lighting, to ensure seamless integration and optimal results.
  • Collaborate with Production and Leads to meet project deadlines and maintain the highest standards of quality.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Maya and ability to learn new tools and techniques quickly.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and clients.
  • Good understanding of pipeline and workflow issues, as well as excellent organisation and interpersonal skills.
