Technical professionals are sought after to support the New Norcia Deep Space Tracking Facility. As a key member of the team, you will provide technical and maintenance support to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.

Responsibilities
  • Technical support: Provide assistance with IT, RF, and electronic systems, including working at heights on antennas.
  • Maintenance tasks: Perform supervised tasks such as maintenance on equipment, and assist with installations as needed.
  • Operational reliability: Deliver high-quality work during time-critical periods to ensure station readiness.
  • Launcher involvement: Contribute to rocket launcher activities, occasionally outside normal hours.
  • Logistics coordination: Support shipment operations between locations.
  • Documentation development: Assist in creating technical manuals, safe work procedures, and quality system documents.
Requirements
  • Education: Certificate of year 12 high school education.
  • Qualifications: Completed or progressing trade qualifications, diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering, IT or science may be advantageous.
  • Experience: Significant experience in STEM fields may be beneficial.
Desirable Skills
  • Interest in Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths fields.
  • Installation activities: Experience with cabling and optical fibre, or electronics equipment.
  • Working on structures: Ability and willingness to work at heights.
